A circus director is trying to get Pelle Jöns to stop smoking. After making the director disappear in a cloud, he draws a woman who comes to life and starts doing tricks on a horse.

A young lieutenant falls in love with a circus horserider. He leaves the army to join the circus and soon becomes the idol of the crowds. His interest in every other woman makes the horserider seek vengeance.
