The Flying Circus is the most famous traveling circus in the country. The artists performing there are equally famous : rope dancer Laurento and snake charmer Ula Kiri. She is in love with him, but her feelings are not reciprocated. As the circus sets up the tent in a new town, Laurento falls in love with another girl and spares no effort to seduce her

Unable to resist the fair sex, follows a classy lady down the street to a square where a circus tent has been set up. The circus director, who is also the classy lady’s lover, drops in unexpectedly. She makes him believe that Calino wants to learn how to become a lion tamer. The director agrees. On the performance night, Calino enters the lionesses cage, but he goes into a panic and flees, leaving the door open. Panic and mayhem in the audience and beyond.

After a night at the circus Bout-de-Zan dreams that he becomes an acrobat

Count Willy von Rosenörn was ruined and moves to an hotel for artists. He is hired by circus director Winge and learns the job from Mademoiselle Doré. She persuades him to do the « lethal jump » on horseback from a platform hoisted high up in the circus dome, with a final firework next to him and his horse.

A young lieutenant falls in love with a circus horserider. He leaves the army to join the circus and soon becomes the idol of the crowds. His interest in every other woman makes the horserider seek vengeance.

Captivated by circus shows, the farmer’s son decides to leave and become a horserider. The circus manager takes him under his wing, looks after him like his own son and helps him to become a great artist. When the circus comes into town, the father feels like the proudest man on Earth when he sees the work of his son, who is definitely the best horserider of the circus.

Eleven people (4 men, 4 women, 2 teenagers, 1 child) dressed up as Japanese walk up to the camera and bow to greet the cinema audience. They execute a dozen acrobatic lifts defying the laws of gravity, then salute and go off-screen.
