Super Circus was an American television program which aired live on Sunday afternoons from 5 to 6PM Eastern time from 1949 to 1956 on ABC. Only 6 episodes were released to DVD in 2008 by Alpha Video.

French TV show produced by Gilles Margaritis and dedicated to circus, recorded mostly in the Paris Cirque d’hiver and broadcasted every Wednesday evening on RTF Television, then on ORTF first channel (March 11, 1954 – December 1974) then on Antenne 2 (January 1975 – October 29, 1978). Presented in the prestigious Paris Cirque d’hiver, the show was directed by Pierre Tchernia and hosted by Michel Francini, then by 1965-1978 ringmaster Roger Lanzac. La Piste aux étoiles presented a lot of circus artists each week, accompanied by Bernard Hilda’s big orchestra.

In 1950s Brooklyn, Lennie’s mother leaves his young brother Joey, 7 years old, in his care because she goes away visiting her own sick mother. But Lennie who had plans with his friends that week-end decides to play a joke on him. He stages a incident using catsup and a toy gun, so that Joey thinks he has shot and killed his brother… and flees to Coney Island, a huge New York beach dedicated to attractions and fun. He will spend a wandering day and night among the crowd and the fairground amusements…

11-year-old orphan Toby Tyler lives with his uncle and aunt in dire poverty. Convinced he is not welcomed, he manages to be hired in a traveling circus as a candy vendor. There he discovers the world of street artists and befriends handyman Ben, clown Sam and Sam’s monkey Mr. Stubbs. After the bareback rider’s fall, Toby must replace him and with his friends Ben, Sam, Mr. Stubb and Jeanette’s help, he soon becomes a star rider who wows the crowd.

A mistreated Bengal tiger named Raja escapes from a traveling circus and hides in the woods bordering the small town of Scotia. The newcomer starts a panic, the townsfolk want Raja killed with the exception of sheriff's daughter Julie Williams, who wishes to capture Raja and put it in a zoo. To raise enough money to purchase Raja from the circus, she starts a campaign with a slogan ‘Save the Tiger’ to rally children across the nation in the tiger's defense, resulting in national attention brought to the sleepy town.

The story of Gosh, a pampered circus bear that becomes lost in the woods and must learn to survive in a hostile environment. Meanwhile, his trainer Kolya and a search party must finally give up looking for Gosha as the winter sets in. The bear eventually comes to terms with his new environment and learns to fend for himself, but never really forgets his beloved Kolya.
