Screen version of the story of the same name by D. Grigorovich. Petya became a flat orphan after his mother’s death and was sent apprentice to Bekker, a circus man of muscle and a cruel and unfair person. Clown Edwards sympathized and loved the boy and secretly taught him real circus skills. But once the boy was frightened by the shouts of Bekker during the performance and fell down to his death.

A gay pastor is murdered somewhere in South Africa. In taking on the identity of the victim, the murderer cannot foresee the sequence of events which, once set in motion, are inescapable, not only for him but also for all the town’s inhabitants. Beneath th apparent workings of justice, contradictory forces are at war…

Le bateau soviétique “Evguéni Onégine” transporte dix tigres et deux lions pour un jardin zoologique. Un petit singe, offert en cadeau, ouvre les cages et met les bêtes sauvages en pleine liberté. Par bonheur, sur le bateau se trouve une employée chargée de la cantine, Marianne, jeune fille fantasque, candide et gaie. À la grande surprise de tout le monde, c’est elle qui réussit – après maintes aventures – à remettre les tigres et les lions dans leurs cages.
