Three loosely connected stories about love set in Europe and told in flashback. « The jealous lover » : Paula is a talented dancer who cannot truly live unless she dances. But she has a heart condition, which means she risks death if she does. « Mademoiselle » : Tommy hates being a child and despises his French tutor. He wants to be an adult so he can do what he wants. He gest his wish for one afternoon: being transformed into a handsome young man for one evening, he learns about being a man and falls for his tutor.

Sharpshooter Annie Oakley is noticed by Buffalo Bill and joins the Wild West Show, where she is confronted with marksman Franck Butler and soon steals the limelight. In spite of professional rivalry a love story develops between those two exhibition shooters.

With a $10,000 note he co-signed for the Pioneers due, Roy plans to get the money fron the reward for the capture of the Gypsy. After he captures him he lets him go, realizing he is innocent, and it’s not long before the real outlaws show their hand.

Three episodes.
1) « Circus ». The clown’s dream is to be an acrobat. He will try to imitate them…
2) « Ring around the Rosy ». A bracelet offered as an anniversary gift gets passed from man to woman to man to woman and so on, making its way full circle back to the husband in the end. What he decides to do with it will rule the fate of his marriage.
3) « Sinbad the Sailor ». Sinbad shows high mental as well as physical agility…

A young man finds himself fascinated by circus and more specifically by the art of clowning.

In 1910, a traveling circus comes to a small German town. The director, known as Sacha Obolski, is manufacturer of garden gnomes Albert Oberholzer’s brother, vanished 20 years before. Born Alexander Oberholzer, the black sheep of the family is back to celebrate his brother’s birthday. The disconcerted petits bourgeois meet his charming wife Iduna, who sings a song in tribute to her father, a renowned clown. She turns the head of the brothers-in-law, honest husbands for that matter, which is bound to create conflicts…

Orphaned young Lili Daurier meets Marc. She decides to follow him and then meets the whole carny troupe he lives with. She decides to stay with them all and befriends the puppets.

A Debt-ridden circus is saved by an well-meaning but inept publicity man Pop Wonder.

Young Rocco is abused by his drunken father and neglected by his step-mother. He flees and seeks refuge with his friend and circus tightrope walker Flip. Rocco has a beautiful voice and Flip, as a former famous tenor, will teach him how to sing. Rocco then meets a manager and gets a contract… That is when his father barges in.

15-year-old tomboy Daisy Clover dreams of being a Hollywood star. After auditioning for producer Raymond Swan of Swan Studios, she soon becomes the toast of Hollywood. But to earn her spot she must leave her past out to give her public the image of a trumped-up fairy tale instead. This workingclass girl then discovers the wonderful world of movies, but also what is going on behind the scenes.
